Karuna Welfare and Development Society (KWDS) is a dynamic non-profit organization committed to social transformation through education, skill development, Women Empowerment, Health and community welfare. Established with the vision of fostering sustainable growth among marginalized communities, KWDS has emerged as a beacon of hope for thousands of underprivileged individuals across India.
One of the pivotal arms of KWDS’s mission is its collaboration with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) – a public-private partnership aimed at promoting skill development across the country. This partnership has helped KWDS deliver structured training, employment opportunities, and entrepreneurial guidance to youth, women, and vulnerable communities.
Our goal extends beyond mere action; we aim to inspire and mobilize individuals to become
ambassadors for change, spreading awareness and encouraging others to contribute to our
cause. Together, we strive to create a society where every individual has access to the
essentials for a dignified life, fostering a culture of empathy and proactive philanthropy.

KWDS aims to create employability among youth and women through skill development training. We strive to make people job-ready and self-reliant by offering vocational training aligned with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), PMKVY, and other government initiatives.

Why Women Empowerment?
Gender equality remains a burning issue even when women play equally important roles in driving the rural economy in India. Women have always been facing the inequitable distribution of domestic chores besides other responsibilities such as fetching water, collecting firewood and even working in the farms. This is severely impacting their physical security, opportunities for adult education, overall productivity, income generation capacity, nutritional status, and overall health and well-being.
